Prenatal Yoga

Prenatal yoga is suitable for women in their 2nd or 3rd trimester Suitable for anyone in their second or third trimester of pregnancy, these classes are tailored to meet the needs of expectant mothers. Much of the focus is on relaxation and breathing techniques. These classes give you space and encouragement to focus on your baby and strengthen the bond between you.

Yoga postures are practised that relieve common ailments and discomforts of pregnancy. Many of the postures focus on freeing the pelvis and gently opening the hips to help the mother prepare for labour. Postures are also practised that build the strength of the arms, shoulders and legs thereby helping the mother prepare for physical demands of motherhood.

The powerful techniques a mother learns through these classes can help her cope with the physical and mental challenges posed right through pregnancy, labour, birth and motherhood.

If you miss your regular class, you can make it up by attending any other class within the period of that course. Just check availability with us first.

Saturday, 11.15am, (drop-in class, €20, taught by Helen Bourke) - space available, no need to book.

You can sign up to 4 of these Saturday classes for the discounted price of €72. This can be done through our online booking page or in the studio when you come to class.
